I created a vast library of in-game purchasable
items known as Charms. These trinkets were purchased by
players and shared with other players, as gifts and
rewards. I used the full scope of my toolkit, inlcuding
Illustrator, Photoshop, zBrush and Keyshot to create
assets, that were both visually appealing, and optimized
for in-game use. They needed to be easy to see at multiple
sizes and locations. During the development of the game
world, I created the initial visual style for what would,
eventually, become a library of over a hundred and
counting. Each one needed to be prepped in a way to be
animated within a 2D game environment, without losing the
3-dimensional appearance of the item. My custom process
and software toolkit was essential to the speed and
creation of these.
